The main financial centre in Latin America was the location chosen for the new office. Positioned in the heart of Sao Paulo, on Paulista Avenue, the office will consolidate the company’s operations in all of Latin America.
Vision-Box® has been expanding its presence and leadership in the region, having developed projects in Venezuela, Colombia and Brazil, such as an integrated video surveillance solution at the Beira-Rio Stadium, in Porto Alegre, the implementation and maintenance of an innovative video surveillance system at the Arena Castelão Stadium in Fortaleza, which will enable the supervision and control of all the arena and surrounding area during the World Cup, integrating all building automation systems and access control, and also the installation of an advanced manual border control and passport delivery solution for the Brazilian Federal Police.
Opening a new office in Latin America is thus “a logical step in the growth trajectory of the company in this region”. For Leidivino Natal da Silva, Director of Vision-Box® Brazil and Latin America, the new office “means a renewed commitment to Latin America and allows us not only to assume a closer connection to our extensive customer base, but also to correspond to the growing demand for our solutions in a challenging and dynamic market that is looking for differentiated, innovative solutions supported by a powerful business case”.
With its reinforced presence in Latin America, Vision-Box® will bring to the region its long experience in automated border control, electronic identity and video-surveillance solutions from projects implemented around the world. The company has deployed over 300 Automated Border Control (ABC) eGates in 30 international airports and over 3000 biometric identification and document verification units all over the world.
More recently, Vision-Box has developed ABC systems for the new Hamad International Airport in Doha, Qatar and also, through a contract signed with the UK Border Force, will install the latest generation of eGates in the main airports of the UK.
According to Bento Correia, CEO and founder of Vision-Box®, opening the new office “will endow the company with the necessary ability to respond to the challenges of the region and leverage the further progress that is expected in the next years in Latin America, thus realising our international growth strategy”.
The inauguration of the new office on Paulista Avenue is scheduled for October.
