OTTAWA, CANADA–(Marketwire – Aug. 5, 2008) – Mxi Technologies announced today that the Maintenix® system has successfully gone live providing engineering, maintenance planning and heavy maintenance support for the KLM Royal Dutch Airlines N.V. (KLM) fleet of A330 aircraft. Implementation of the integrated, intelligent software solution will close the loop between base maintenance and planning. By automating the planning and scheduling process, planners will have more time to focus on ensuring aircraft compliance.

With the Maintenix software streamlining the maintenance process for the A330, compliance traceability is optimized. As jobs are completed by the technician, there is a direct connection to the regulatory requirements satisfied by those jobs. This automates the process of proving compliance with the approved maintenance plan. Additionally, as work is being scheduled, and subsequently completed, it is also automatically rescheduled in accordance to the maintenance plans and the current asset usage.

“Going live with the A330 fleet is just one step in our move toward fleet-wide implementation of the Maintenix software,” said Miguel Chiang, Project Manager. “With quicker sign-offs and features such as real-time records and execution, users were extremely receptive. In a direct testament to the Maintenix benefits seen by our A330 maintenance personnel, the mechanics who work on other fleets have been asking when they will have Maintenix too!”

“The roll-out of the Maintenix software on KLM’s A330 was quite smooth,” said Les Hine, President of Mxi Technologies. “A major factor in this success was the level of involvement by the KLM team; this was a very collaborative implementation. We are looking forward to continuing our work together.”
