Embraer Expands its Presence in Latin America

Company confirms its growth strategy in Venezuela
São José dos Campos, October 7, 2008 – Embraer recently named Veserca as its authorized
sales representative for Executive Jets, and Aerotécnica as its authorized service center, for
Venezuela. This is consistent with the Company’s strategy of strengthening its position in one
of the largest markets in Latin America.
“Veserca and Aerotécnica will help Embraer take innovative products and service solutions
to Venezuelan customers with considerable added value,” said Breno Corrêa, Embraer Vice
President, Marketing and Sales – Latin America, Executive Jets. “This initiative is one of the
many steps Embraer is taking towards becoming a major player in the executive aviation
market, worldwide.”

About Aerotécnica
Aerotécnica was founded in 1951, and provides helicopter and aircraft maintenance support.
Based in Oscar Machado Zuloaga Airport, near Caracas, with 16,000 square feet (1,486
square meters) of facilities, it has regional offices in Maturín and Lagunillas. The company
also provides charter/logistical support for complex industrial activities in Venezuela, such as
the petroleum and petrochemical sectors, electrical power generation and transmission,
mining, construction, telecommunications, seismic services, and offshore. Aerotécnica is the
exclusive Bell Helicopter representative for Venezuela, as well, and represents Pratt &
Whitney for PT6 series engines, plus Northern Airborne Technology Ltd. (NAT), a Cobham
Avionics and Surveillance company.

Veserca is a joint venture between Aerotécnica and Alberto Villasmil. Created in 2007, it is
strategically located in Oscar Machado Zuloaga Airport, the main executive aviation base in
Venezuela. Veserca also represents Mooney Aircraft in Venezuela.
